Dr Lewis Ehrlich and the team are excellent. Genuinely provide person-centred care and emphasise holistic health and wellbeing in the context of dental health. His expertise, skills, and proficiency are brilliant. You always feel as if you’re getting the best outcome and remain in safe hands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Ngan Lam is also brilliant (oral hygienist) and is a real asset to the team at SHDC. Very friendly and does an excellent job. Highly proficient and great rapport with clients (myself in this case).

This was one of the worst dental experiences I ever had. The dentist applied the anaesthetic needle the lower gums to do a filling (he needed to extract the previous filling and make it better, as it had chipped and a nerve was exposed so hurting me).
When the dentist started drilling, I could still feel the pain because the needle didnt numb me enough, the pain was excruciating (of course) and I screamed. The dentist did not believe that his method of anaesthesia was not working on me and continued treatment, albeit slowly, but because I was not anaesthetised, it hurt like hell.
This dentist is one of the reasons why I am petrified of going to a dentist now.

If you actually read my comment - I DID tell the dentist that I was feeling pain. I think my involuntary scream would have been a big clue that I was in pain.
I also didnt see anything about holistic dentistry other than the brochure and information. There was no discussion about how to manage things holistically. Just sounds like a marketing gimmick as opposed to any real philosophy.
I have finally found a good dentist in the city, and one that I endeavour to go to regularly now. I value that they relate oral health to general health. When I emailed before making my first appointment, to ask about costs, they emailed back quickly with all the details. Recent research and other published material are available to read on the web site and also in the waiting room. It allows me to have informed choice about my dental care. I wish I had had this information many years ago to have made better choices about my dental care but greatful to have it now. A great dental centre and staff.
